Studio Penale Bellavista
Mario Bellavista is the principal of Studio Penale Bellavista.
He has been a member of the Palermo Bar since 1994 and has been admitted to practise before the Court of Cassation since 2006. He is serving his second term on the Council of the Palermo Bar Association, where he chairs the Arbitration Board.

A specialist in criminal law, he has handled significant cases of national importance, including, by way of example, the retrial of the Via D’Amelio bombing case, numerous mafia and international drug trafficking trials, the Silvia Melis kidnapping case, the Montana and Cassarà murder cases (in which he acted for Totò Riina), numerous cases of medical negligence, aggravated fraud, offences against the person and against property and environmental offences.
He is an expert in the liability of entities for administrative offences arising from crime (Legislative Decree 231/2001). He chairs the supervisory body of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo.
He was Chair of the supervisory body of Sicilia Digitale S.p.A. He has held various positions in public companies. He was sole director of Sicilia Digitale (a company owned by the Sicilian Region) and a member of the supervisory bodies of several regional public companies. He was Chair of the Board of Directors of Amat S.p.A. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Siciliacque. He advises several municipal authorities on environmental offences.
He was legal adviser to the Budget and Finance Department of the Sicilian Region and to several municipal authorities on environmental offences.
He acted as counsel for SIAE and NORDITALIA.
He is a speaker at numerous conferences on criminal law and criminal procedure and on Legislative Decree 231/01, and the author of several publications on criminal procedure.
He is also Of Counsel at the international law firm Giambrone & Partners in the national Criminal department.
